Vision
Listen to Vision Messages by Pastor Mark
Vision #1 - "Great Things"
Vision #2 - "How to Help"
Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” The vision, or revelation of God’s will for us, comes from the Word of God. We are here to accomplish what we see in His Word.
In John 10:10 Jesus said, “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The problems that people in our world face stem from death. Spiritual death is a condition that separates man from God. It is through the new birth that every person can experience life in their spirit which restores fellowship with God. Life is more than existence. The God kind of life (Greek – Zoe) is life in the absolute sense, life as God has it. This life can and should affect every aspect of our lives while we are here on the earth – our health, our relationships, our finances, our minds, and those around us.
Our vision at LIFE CHURCH is to “bring Life to life.” In every church service we see the life of God affecting people's lives in the areas they need it. We see the members of LIFE CHURCH as being full of life themselves, bringing life to those whom God has placed in their sphere of influence – in their families, neighborhoods, workplaces, etc.
Some areas that are a distinct part of this church include:
- Systematic Discipleship – Spiritual maturity is not automatic, nor does it come by accident. At LIFE CHURCH we believe that specific steps can be taken to greatly add to the growth of each individual. This is done through our Authentic Life system.
- Full Functioning Christians – Many people go through their entire life not knowing what God wants them to do. We see each person finding and fulfilling their place in the Body of Christ – fully using the gifts and abilities He has entrusted them with.
- Spirit of Faith – Believers ought to be what they are – believers! Those with a spirit of faith are big thinkers. They see no limitations, and are willing to step out with nothing holding them up except the Word of God.
- Spirit of Evangelism – We see a church where each member is consumed with a desire to win others to Jesus. Although people are won through many different methods, the key is each person doing their part in getting the Gospel out.
- Excellence – Too often people cut corners in the name of being a good steward. We consider it one of our priorities to do the best with what we have. Excellence in everything, from pulpit ministry to the restrooms, is very important.
- Miracles – The supernatural should be a part of every believer’s life. We are equipped to bring forth the Word with power and demonstration. We see Christians cooperating with the Holy Spirit being used to bring miracles to those who need them.
- Growth and Our Future Facility – We see a church that ministers to thousands of people each week in our services in addition to the thousands we reach through television and other outreaches. We see a building that will seat 2000 adults in the main auditorium.
